COPES stands for "Connecting Others, Providing Education & Support” NBCopes connects families, educates on grief, and fosters healing communities for children and youth.

NBCopes acknowledges that it carries out its work on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources, and were meant to establish title and the rules for a relationship between nations.
NBCopes acknowledges the harmful impact of colonialism to Indigenous People. In seeking truth and reconciliation, we are committed to following the wisdom of elders and the guidance of knowledge keepers in creating a healing community.
