Events for Hope & Healing

Loss turns your world upside down. How do you find your way forward, especially when supporting a grieving child? NBCopes recognizes that healing isn't always about words or traditional therapy. Our programs offer creative pathways for children, youth, and families to process their grief, facilitated by certified health and social care professionals. With expert guidance and the support of a caring community, you can discover ways to feel whole again.

  • Art Hive Drop-in

    Need a space to breathe, connect, and create? Join us at an Art Hive. These pop-up events offer a chance to express your emotions through art and music alongside a supportive community. You might find us at a local park, a school event, or your neighbourhood market.

  • Weekend Retreat

    Grief demands more than just talk therapy, especially for children. This immersive overnight retreat offers a safe space for children, youth, and families to confront grief with the hope of growing stronger together. Guided by certified professionals and others who share your journey, you'll tap into the healing power of art, music, and shared vulnerability. Rediscover strength, connection, and a path towards a brighter future for your family to live well.

  • Family Connection Days

    Grief can be an ongoing journey and the path of healing is not always straight. Family Connection Days are a chance to reconnect with those who understand, and find renewed strength for the road ahead.

  • Healing Hearts Weekend Retreat (3 Nights)

    This immersive retreat offers a lifeline for families—a chance to breathe, connect, and heal as you explore the impact of grief on children, youth, and families, with the hope of growing stronger together. Certified health and social care professionals work together with peer mentors and people living with life-changing grief and sadness. Through healing circles, art, music, and fostering connections we see possibilities to live well. Pre-registration is required.

  • Healing Together Youth Retreats (2 Nights)

    Losing someone you love can leave you feeling lost and confused.  This retreat offers youth (13 to 18) a chance to express those complex emotions, to be heard, and to find support among peers who share their experiences.

  • Family Retreat for Suicide Loss

    The grief after a suicide is complex and deeply personal. This retreat offers families the chance to explore their unique pain, gain insights, and connect with others who truly understand this type of loss.
